(Bucharest, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development Europe at Habanero, granted an interview to SoloAzar about the participation of the firm at recent Entertainment Arena Expo.“We ran with our Western-style slot Space Goonz, which has been extremely well received since its launch,” he said.
What novelties have you presented at the show?
It was a wonderful show for Habanero for so many reasons, but mainly because it was our first time attending the EAE Expo, which proved to be a fantastic decision for us. We pulled out all of the stops with a stand that demonstrated everything that we have to offer, and had such an incredible time meeting delegates, partners and friends from all across the iGaming landscape.
When it comes to the products that we chose to display, we ran with our Western-style slot Space Goonz, which has been extremely well received since its launch. The game neatly pairs a sophisticated, visually striking theme with our renowned mathematics, culminating in what is already being described as an instant Habanero classic.
What has been your experience at the recent edition?
Any opportunity to bring everyone together should be seen as an absolute success, and we really value any occasion where we get to catch up with our Eastern European friends and customers. It was great to host some really meaningful conversations with our Balkan partners and discuss new markets, as well as explore new approaches to entertaining players as the landscape continues to change.
It’s an awful lot of fun spending time on the ground at events such as this, as it allows us to introduce our signature style to local operators in an environment that nurtures both connection and creativity, and we can’t wait to return next year for more of the same. Eastern Europe is a really dynamic region with bags of potential.
What has been the feedback from visitors?
At Habanero, we take the mathematics behind the slots and the peripherals associated with game design very seriously. I feel as though our partners recognize us for the quality of experiences we consistently deliver, so industry events like this are always a great opportunity for us to show off the quality that we bring to the table. One of the best compliments we get is for our pitch-perfect sounds, beautiful game art and solid foundations – and it was fantastic to receive such wonderful feedback.
I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved, and is entirely representative of the manner in which we have established our tier one credentials in CEE as one of the market’s favourite studios. Looking at the region, there is certainly an appetite for new slot content, especially in a market like Romania with such a heavy retail legacy, so we look forward to catering to this.
How do you see the Eastern European games of chance market with regard to the products that the firm commercializes?
It’s an exciting market to have a stake in as you can tangibly see the impact that land-based retail has had and continues to have on the market. Though I don’t have the numbers to hand, we can assume that land-based studios are taking a heavy proportion of the market.
For us, it’s all about merging the land-based space with online, and our mathematics serve us well in achieving this. When it comes to entertaining players, we’ve got a tried and tested product that works across every channel, so very little needs to be changed there. We can’t wait to introduce more local players to the wonderful world of Habanero!
